This room is named after the amazing Green Woodlands wilderness, a private wilderness open to the public by the Green Woodlands Foundation, a family organization. This is an expansive wilderness, with ~23,000 acres of land and eight ponds. There are extensive mountain bike trails (70 miles), ski trails (35 miles) and woods roads. In addition to biking and skiing, recreational uses include hiking, snowshoeing, horseback riding (50 miles), and snowmobiling (40 miles), hunting and fishing. Well behaved dogs are allowed, camping and fires are prohibited. See Trailside Stays for a unique wilderness lodging experience.
From the Green Woodlands Facebook page:
"Green Woodlands is a multi generational family limited partnership with a goal of preserving a little piece of nature for many future generations. Our primary activities are wildlife management, research and education, historical preservation, environmental research and education, sustainable "green" forestry and forest property preservation."
